Using more than 1 smtp server to avoid single point of failure

SA-1321

Summary

İs it possible that we can use more than 1 SMTP server to avoid single point of failure for the outbound email integration?

We want to add alternate host/hosts in case there is a failure on the defined SMTP server. The requests will be automatically sent to the other servers defined.

Our load balancers cannot work with SMTP servers for load balancing or single point of failure prevention

Resolution

I can confirm that this type of functionality does not exist in any version of PRPC, although could be a candidate for a future release.

That said, clustering the SMTP servers seems like the better approach.  If you had multiple SMTP servers, yet had a Load Balancer in front to route the connections to an available server, that seems like the more Enterprise Level Solution.
