Where to run AES agents in a clustered environment

SA-482

Summary

Documentation on the Pega Developer Network (PDN) indicates that PegaAES agents should only be run on one Java Virtual Machine in a multi-node environment. Can this directive be clarified?

Resolution

1. Always make sure that there is only one JVM that runs the PegaAES agents. The multinode support to run PegaAES agents is not available with AES 7.1 or any previous AES versions.

2. Users need not worry about PegaAESRemote agents. They can be enabled in all the JVMs. The automated logic will take care of running the code in the intended node.
